Dirigo - Diribye

Dirigo - Diribye

Castaniotis Editions
Author: Yolanda Tsiampokalou (Sadahzinia)
Illustrator: Christos Dimas
The book circulates in Greece translated also in the Albanian language by the poet Luan Xhuli. This book originates from a magical phrase which before becoming the title of the tale, it became a song in Active Member's Blah-Blasphemy album (2005).

Synopsis: Sometimes the dreams are transforming into nightmares. They are hiding under the bed or they move the curtains in order to scare us. Much trouble indeed! And who could believe you? Luckily, Zoumpadaes are here! That is, some elfin, hairy and all laughing little creatures. Zoumpadaes are the keepers of your dreams. They push down, squeeze out and pop all the bad dreams from your sleep. If you summon them by the magic word, they will be present at the time: Dirigo-Diribye. For the time being, they can be found at the land of fantasy as they thought themselves not being welcome by the children anymore. Do their friends suffice really, does a magic word, a secret recipe is enough to come back on our land? Or do you have to want it a little bit too?
